HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. DECIDE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF www.finditonmay.com.
2. There is no set formula for what you can put on your web page, but I have some questions (see below) that I think are good guidelines for YOUR WEB PAGE. You may decide to do it differently if you think other information will attract your prospects better and give your existing customers the information they need. As long as it is in good taste, it is up to you.
3. Write down what you want your web page to say, with instructions about placement if different from mine.
E-mail them to finditonmay@sbcglobal.net.
4. I will then take pictures and collect the $299.00 for your yearly dues.
5. I will notify you when your page is up. After you have looked at it we can tweak it if you have any changes you want to make.
It is that simple
Do it now.
Thanks

We believe that a website is just one part of a well-rounded marketing plan.

QUESTIONS FOR WEB SITE
It is easy if you simply highlight the following questions, copy them, then past them into your e-mail program and answer them, then send them to: finditonmay@sbcglobal.net If you have only a limited span of time you can do one or two at a time. If you have any pictures you want to include on your page you can attach them to one of these e-mails.
1. What is your elevator speech? If you don’t know what an elevator speech is -- it is a short (25 words or less) description that succinctly describes your business.
For example, mine is:
“Fresh matters. Avalon Seafoods is a retail market with fresh seafood from the East Coast, West Coast, Gulf, Alaska and Hawaii.”
2. What is your business? What do you do for people? What problem/s do you help them solve?
3. Contact info: hours, location, phone, web site, e-mail, etc.
4. A thorough description of the products / services you have. Pay particular attention to unique or unusual products that might be hard to find or particularly valuable to your customers.
5. What is your niche? What do you do that is different from other businesses in your industry? What do your repeat customer praise you for? What do they say is the reason they keep coming back?
6. Hints, tips, tricks, recipes, or time savers -- what can you tell your customers that will make their lives easier, more productive, or save time?
7. If you want to put in a coupon include the details, including the expiration date.
8. If you have a web site, include the URL and I will link it to your page.
Put all of this into an e-mail and send to
+PLUS+ I will include a short pod-cast (up to ten minutes) which is like having a ten minute radio commercial that visitors can listen to any time. Tell your story to build rapport with visitors.
A $50.00 value. FREE
++PLUS PLUS++ I will also include a short QT movie. Think of it as a 5 minute TV commercial that people can see 24 hours a day.
A $100.00 value. FREE
NOW, would be a good time to get started.

ATTRACT MORE BUSINESS
LET PEOPLE KNOW:
WHO YOU ARE
WHERE YOU ARE
AND WHAT YOU SELL
There is an old parable about working together that is
the foundation of finditonmay.com.
The parable goes something like this:
An old farmer was very sick.
So he called his five sons around him to give them his last advice.
He showed them a bundle of sticks. Taking five of the sticks, he gave each to his sons to break. The sons broke the stick with ease.
Then the old farmer asked them, one after the other, to break the bundle of sticks.
The sons took turns trying to break the bundle of sticks, with all their might, but they could not.
The old farmer said to his sons: "Like this bundle you are stronger when you stand together. You must always stand together."
I put up a website for Avalon Seafoods 4 years ago to attract more business. (I always need more business.) At first the site got quite a few hits but it began to taper off and I ask myself,
“How can I let more people know about my site and therefore about my business?”
I was talking to a friend, who owns a business close to mine, when the idea came to me that if I could somehow tap into his customer base and invite them to visit my site, some of them might become customers. That’s when the bundle of sticks parable hit me.
What if he and I put up a website together and pointed our customers to that site. That way we would each have exposure to our combined customer base.

“What a great idea” he said.
So I put up our joint website. I began talking to other merchants up and down the street and now we have a whole community of businesses on the site. Some of these merchants have their own website and some don’t. For the ones that already have a site, this community site acts as a portal to their larger site. For those who don’t, this site gives them their first web presence.
As you look through the various pages on this site, you can begin to see what others have put on their page and get ideas about what you would like to have on yours.
You will notice that at the top of each and every page are links that easily take the visitor to any business on the site. This gives each business exposure, as the visitor looks for a specific name, they also see the other names as they are looking.
You may also notice that at the bottom of each page there are links to a printable map, a coupon page and the merchants website.
Because pictures sell, you will also see that most pages have pictures that show the visitor examples of what the merchant carries as well as a picture of the business from the street, so the customer can recognize it when they see it.
Full descriptions of the business along with hours of operation, address, and phone numbers.
